'64 boat

Introducing .... the 1964 Lake Swan Allan Jervis edition

Yes we are now owners of this vintage beauty ... it was a gift given to Matthew
funny story about this boat ... it was given to us months ago and to be honest I hated the idea of having this boat ...

1. we had nowhere to store this boat

2. it looked really hideous under the tarp

3. was not fond of having to drag this thing to Texas !!

BUT ..Matthew cleaned it up yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised ... in fact im pretty stoked to be able to one day take this lil thing out on the water .. (if it runs ha ha !!)

Matthew has to put a little more work into it but... i will admit i was wrong about wanting to get rid of it ....

I'm sure we will get stopped out on grape vine lake by peeps who will appreciate its beauty if not it's cool ... I'll still feel pretty cool cruise'n in it...with my hot boo boo

today i was born ...

.... 23 Years ago... in these years .. I've danced, sung, laughed, cried and kissed my share of boys then been crushed by them all ... but I couldn't ask for a better 23 yrs ... I've bloomed into a mam or a miss .. (as so the boy at the grocery store refered me to) but none the less a woman !
through it all ... I've learned heeps and have grown heeps and bounds. So what does one do in celebration ?... since i love my special day so much i was fortunate enough to get to do what i love at work and then came home to a husband who had cleaned the entire 590 square feet of our humble abode .

then got all fancied up for a wonderful dinner at the New Yorker downtown with my stud of a man ( oh the best stake matt and I have ever had ) Finished the night off with dessert at CPK red velvet ... if you please haha my fav.
23 i feel is going to be a fabulous year for me .... ( if I make it be )... i see a 5K in the future maybe enroll in dance classes we'll see ... thank you my sweet family for the wonderful messages on my vmail ... and all who wished me a happy happy it never gets old ....

i loved that matt took time out to play with the kids

matthew scored 9 home runs

Lindsey Flake.....

my dearest friend has returned from serving in Vancouver Canada !!

Im so thrilled she is home...

she had a VERY well attended homecoming which she spoke so beautifully.

Matthew and I sang for the first time together ..which I always get so nervous singing but it went well considering how last minute the duet was ...

did i mention im so happy she's home and she will be even closer to me when school starts at the Y in Jan. yeah !

Isn't she so beautiful.... watch out single men out there im not sure you're ready for her !!

a thriller halloween

..life's no fun without a good scare... thats our job but we're not.... mean in our town of Halloween ....

awe yes Halloween ... traditional Odysey dance theatre's Thriller.... costumes and a full week long of candy beng ...ugh

this year we were invited to this huge Halloween bash the saturday before Halloween, thrown by a client of the salons and it was a bash to say the least ... it was hilarious !

J.R aka my boss did my Lady gaga make up ..which made the whole look come together perfectly ... Matt went as himself, Lanky the clown ... ha ha . Having the entire salon there made it a hit for me plus all the awesome creative costumes we saw

Then on Halloween eve matt scored some free tickets to the thriller at Kingsbury hall .... o how i love it and o how it makes me weep ....I MISS DANCING

Matt really seemed to enjoy the special guest clown more than any of the dancing ... then on ther actual day of halloween i went to work in matts afro wig and was a seventies afro chick of some sort ...

i loved wearing the wig everyone thought i should color my hair brown after they saw me in it ....that night we cleaned up the Rice Eccles Stadium after the Utes win woo woo go Utes and yeah people are such slops ... yuck !!!

but... we earned the young men and young woman a thousand dollars to go toward our activities camps and etc

so it was all nasty... gross mustard in my hair !! kinda work but was all for the good ...yeah

This Man is Mine ....

and Oh ... How I love Him

I can't even begin to describe our first year of marriage .. but I will say that both Matthew and I have learned a ton and continue to. I'm so happy Matthew is stronger than me because I most definatly need that from him. I'm blown away by the patience and optimism he has .. I think we are begining to understand what it means to truely fall in love with each other ....

thanks to you all ...family and friends who have shared your love with us, it has made us stronger together

so ... in celebration Matthew and I treated ourselves for surving the first year... with a massage some needed clothes, dinning out and turning off the phones, allowing ourselves to feel unplugged from the world for awhile !!

( I recommend it )

Oh how shocked I was by Matthews cunning and clever ways of totally taking me by surprise. He surprised me with this gorgeous antique chair that our good friend Ernie Flynn delivered to our house, while we were away !

Then at the Hyatt (sweet hotel)... we were watching my favorite movie... The Nightmare Before Christmas when i hear some sort of high pitched churping and beeping from under my pillow .... and he reaches down and whips out this incredible phone... i was so touched because not even three days before i was throwing my phone at the wall in frustration of it 's lack of working ! so this new phone was such a sweet and unexpected surprise !!!
