today while the sun shines......

don't... make fun of my hugely awesome glasses they where my moms in college ...ha ha they rock !! (i love em)

finally we had a spring like

day after a week of winter like weather ...

it totally called for hot dogs in the park ... matt found and bought a lil grill at a yard sale for 3 bucks so thrifty are we ...

we used this cute lil picnic blanket kit thing .. i think we may have recieved it as a gift from the wedding but i dunno ?? any who it was sweet..

Matthew helped out in our wards service project

which was to cut down this huge tree in this ladies backyard ... matt held on to a rope tied to the top of the tree and pretty much pulled the tree away from the house as it fell...timber!!!

home town came through with a delightful easter weekend...

matt took on the role as easter bunny sunday morning .. i must say the egg hunt was a success!

grass... bloomed tree's .... flowers... things we lack in my mom's yard .. (sorry mom)

but oh my grandma leila's sure made up for it and more ..

a visit from family & flu

We really enjoyed our time with e and dall ... It was a short visit but I value anytime I can have with family !! Neal & Mary squeezed away from their busy schedules to hang with us too.. A temple visit, dinner @ setebello's and music catch phrase oh boy !

unfortunetly.... I got hit by a huge flu bug the week e & dall visited and my sweet hubby caught it too... here is my hunk a man taking a sick blow !! but once we saw a light at the end of our mucus tunnel we hit up a lil cosignment shop where i found a pair of citizens of humanity jeans for $40 bucks and matthew models his new tops ...below... looking and feeling alot better

Cake Auction

We went to the annual Mckay and Waterloo Ward cake auction.... and we ended up leaving with cup cakes and a mini cake made in an easy bake oven by a six yr old..
They were so adorable !

Sunday Adventure

On this lovely warm sunday we of course went and saw the hippies ... who were having there usual drum circle ...and we took lizzy to a couple new dog park s we hadn't been to yet ... one was horribly muddy so we ditched that one .. then headed to one thats just east of the capitol buliding.

THATS WHERE it all starts...

The park was lovely with a huge stream running through it ... Lizzy loved that !! On our walk we saw a lot of things. Some things i chose to not post cuz they weren't relevant to the story...

The oddest thing we encountered was what looked like a persons lil hide out .... complete with 2 or 3 pairs of jeans .. toothpaste and a brush ..2 note books with poems and drawings... some of the writings were a lil eerie... a bag of tobacco and a utility knife! ( a lil weird huh )

So my sweet husband calls... 911 !!

oh yes 911

we assured them it wasn't an emergency and just maybe thought that it was a missing persons belongings or something ???

We met up with these nice officers... and showed them where we had found these belongings... it was like freakin CSI or something... they got all gloved up and looked through the things to find any info on whose it may be ...it looked like the clothes had been there for awhile... yet the notebook indicated there was writing in it about a month ago?? crazy... so they just bagged it all up and said it looked like a transient woman maybe whose name is Roberta...

They thanked us and we were on our way ... i will admit it was really fun !!

Oh and how cool was this bird... this lil guy just let me step right up to him and take a picture of em !!

We entered the park on a road up above the park and walked down... that gave us this amazing view of the capitol building

uh...so..

matthew and i are working working working ...

it's nice when we finally have time together, but now that i am in young womens we get to be with the youth together on tuesday nights which is fun... lately matt's been my lil chef and has been making homemade peach cobbler and strawberry short cake which is divine .... i am definately getting my sugar fix

oh and the weather here has been sweet ... theres finally a light at the end of the winter tunnel !

so i guess in a nut shell we are enjoying life ...

Matthew... Loves his wife

so much so that when she was all tired from a long busy day at work he had the entire house lit with candles and a plate of these yummy treats.. The only thing is he won't tell me where he gets these amazing chocolates !!

yes... these chocolates were fresh raspberries covered with chocolate and red grapes draped and drizzled with dark and white chocolate

after we endulged ourselves ..we went to charlies chow's dragon grill It's this really good down town restaurant we just discovered ... So overall I would have to say it was a wonderful evening ...

movie review

Matthew and I saw.. He's Just Not That Into You !
(I had to drag Matt to this movie )
and our overall thought of the movie was ..wow it is jam packed with huge stars.. and it was pretty shocking at times (at least to us) .. I cried at times and of course I laughed. I liked it and it left us thinking... while leaving the theatre.
